Rising level of CO2 in the air and reduced Oxygen level for sure has deleterious effect on human health ranging from Carbemia to compromised sub cellular functioning of brain neurones leading to Neurological disorders. CO2 mitigating strategy’s are equally important where photosynthetic pathways in aquatic and terrestrial plant to absorb atmospheric CO2 is more practical and to be adopted but also important are the life style changes, dietary practices and adoptogenic Herbals to counter the ill effect of rising CO2 levels. Equally important and urgent need is to check the CO2 emissions by cement, fossil fuel burning and shale gas exploration.. The holistic approach is needed to protect the mankind and humanity due to CO2 Catastrophic changes.
Hi Mohan - thanks for your observations and suggestions! As we respond to the buildup of CO2, we’ll want to learn more about safe/ideal ranges of CO2 with respect to the health risks our review identifies. For example, would stabilizing at 450 ppm, a target based on climate considerations, be sufficient to protect human health? How great is the challenge?
