About Juliana Siqueira-Gay

I am Environmental Engineer (2015) and I hold a Master of Science from Escola Politécnica/USP (2018) with an internship at Institut für Kartographie und Geoinformatik at Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany. I received my Ph.D. from Escola Politécnica/USP (2021) with a period as visiting student at the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Queensland

My research interests include investigations related to impacts on forests in tropical regions, especially modeling land use changes to simulate policy-relevant scenarios for conserving biodiversity and ecosystem services. Jointly with different research groups, I developed works related to environmental planning, Strategic Environmental Assessment, and geospatial data modeling to inform policies, plans, and projects. Currently, I work as a project manager at Instituto Escolhas, a civil society organization devoted to analyzing public policies' social and economic impacts on promoting sustainable development.
